As an example for the geometric Jugendstil this pendant lamp perfectly shows the simple elegance of this style.
The frame is made from square-cut pipes of brass in a plainly polished finish. On the main ring three glass spheres are mounted in off-centre positions. These are another typical motive of this Jugendstil approach.
As a playful detail multiple cast parts of brass are set in the position of the constructional screws and the ends of pipes to take from the otherwise very technical character. This gives the lamp a romantic otherworldly demure.
