Our narrow backset mortise locks employ highcarbon steel compression springs for long life and durability of service. Hubs are fabricated of solid brass. Cases are designed to accommodate through bolted trim for positive alignment with the lock case. Locks are regularly furnished with a 3⁄4" throw one-piece mechanical heavy-duty latch bolt.
Faceplates and strikes are fabricated standard in nonmagnetic 304 alloy stainless steel. Brass or bronze substrates and most decorative finishes may be had by special order.
Narrow Backset Mortise Locks are not UL listed and should only be specified for applications not requiring a fire-rated or UL listed lockset. They are the best choice for any building where safety, security and design compatibility are prime considerations.
